Fall Arrest Level 1

Work in any place, above or below ground level, where a person can be injured if they fall from that place or Working on any elevation that is away from safe ground.


  1. Basic work at height equipment.
  2. Basic work at height systems.
  3. Work at height principles(Shork lord).
  4. Anchors.
  5. Life-lines.
  6. Emergency procedures.
  7. Work at height protection plan(Fall Protection plan).
  8. Knots.

Specific outcome from work at height level 1 training

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of the limitation of limited range of fall arrest equipment and regulation.
  • Inspect, assemble and store fall arrest equipment.
  • Select suitable anchor point.
  • Use fall arrest systems with double lanyard
  • Use pre-installed vertical and horizontal life-lines and explain reducing risk during rescue

This Work At Heights Safety Technician Level 1 Training is a step towards acquiring competency to Work At Height.

It assumes that the delegate is working at an elevation and focuses on fall protection and also eliminating the fall hazards.

NOTE:EN Standards defines a competent person as:

A person who has, through a combination of Training, Qualification and Experience, Acquired Knowledge

and Skills enabling that person to Correctly Perform a specified task.

    Work At Height Safety Orientation Online


    This Work At Heights Safety Orientation is an introductory guide to height safety. Use it when evaluating your fall protection requirements,however, always consult a fall protection specialist if you’re unsure of any aspect of fall protection or fall protection equipment.

    Learning Outcomes

    Upon completion of this online course, trainees will:

    • Gain knowledge that is necessary to select and set up working at heights equipment ready for safe use and operation.

    • Gain awareness in identifying risks in the workplace and eliminate or reduce the risk of severe or fatal injuries.
